Yas Waterworld sets Guinness record for most water slides in one park: 55
After the Lost City phase two opened in April, Guinness World Records counted 55 slides at Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi on 1 July 2026, beating Aquaventure Dubai's 50.
Yas Waterworld on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, now holds the Guinness World Record for the most water slides in a single water park, with 55 counted on 1 July 2026.
The record follows the April opening of the second phase of the Lost City expansion, which took the Emirati-themed park past 70 attractions. It ends the reign of neighbouring Aquaventure World in Dubai, which set the previous record of 50 slides in October 2022.
The Gulf now holds three of the sport’s marquee records: most slides (Yas Waterworld), tallest slide (Meryal, Qatar, 76.3 m) and, if certified, tallest water coaster (Junoon Drop at Aquarabia, Saudi Arabia).
